When congressman Joe Wilson from South Carolina shouts 'You Lie' during President Obama's address some claimed that it was all about health insurance for 'illegal immigrants'. And it is indeed easy to prove the the President was lying - as the Congressional Research Service notes, *nothing* in HR3200 would exclude illegals from coverage.
But then HR3200 is not only about health care, or maybe not even primarily about health care. Because if coverage is intended to be universal, and mandatory, even if it's for citizens only, then all those covered need be registered in some federal database and they will most likely need an identity card to prove their coverage.
I feel inclined to agree with a reader who in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle commented on a recent speech held by Obama: '..Anytime a bill is over 1300+ pages (as it is now) you know they are up to something'
