I found this remarkable article by Michael Grunwald in Time Magazine where he describes how behavioral scientists played a part in the Obama campaign, and how they will continue to influence the shaping of policies. It's remarkable in its unapologetic enthusiasm for this trend in governance.
The social engineering these scientist advocate seems oh so benevolent rational but under the surface is the same paternalism so in vogue in the 1930:s.
